What should I add to this?

I'm starting up a new series, and I'm trying to create the logo. I can't figure out if I should leave the logo like this or add do a bit more pixel art to the chest and make it look more realistic.

What do you guys think?

That chest seems very old school Zelda-ish :p
Hmm. I'm not really sure. Difficult to make up my mind without seeing different examples next to each other :)
I would maybe put some more details on the chest, as the text and the background seems of quite good quality.

(If the text was 8-bit, the chest would fit in better I feel.)

When I used 8 bit text, it looked off and didn't really fit the style of the series.. Hence why I went with the bolder fonts.

I'll mash up an example of a pixelated chest. :)

Oh man! I watched all 25 episodes in the span of 14 hours armed with a kettle, 50 bags of tea and a container of sugar! Hahaha. I had so much trouble watching Eren's mother get eaten, especially when the blood went everywhere.. I had goosebumps.

I was thinking of adding a blur around the edges, as well as a shadow to make it pop out more ;D

The manga is worse... It's quite gruesome. :grumpy2:

A blur and shadow on what? I was referring more to the background of it. I see a bit of a gradient in the back, but I think it will look less "flat" if you exaggerated it more. :geek2:

It looks good - nice, simple, and visible. My one critique would be to line up the edges of the words - the T hanging past the edge of the E drives me nuts, and then I see that it happens on the left side as well.
 
Add a little glow or light background to the text and chest to highlight it and separate it more from the background.
