What should a first youtube video be about?

I'd say introducing yourself.

Maybe say what you're channel will feature, and the schedule?

Or if you're running a series, you could just throw yourself in with the first video - that's what we did!

I would make it an introduction, tell people about yourself. Tell them things like, what the channel will be about, what kind of videos you'll be posting. I would also try and keep it funny/entertaining.. if people don't stick around and watch the intro because they think it's boring that's a very bad sign :)

Hello..I'm going to move this thread to the Script, Script Writing, Video Ideas & Planning section of the forum. I think you can make a video about anything you'd like. That's the beauty of Youtube, you're able to be creative and express yourself. I wouldn't recommend making anything that would offend someone etc...but...pretty much do what...you want to do :)

When I will start "EE R&R with Conso" (temporary name) my first video will probably introduce my project and upload schedule.
Anyway, your first video must show clearly who you are, and what will you do. Consider it as a business card to your channel

Thanks for the tips! And I'm sorry, I'm new to this section's and stuff... I've never really been on a forum, or atleast I've never posted on one myself :/ :)[DOUBLEPOST=1393529019][/DOUBLEPOST]
i just made a video introducing me and my channel, said a few facts about me and the types of videos i will be making :)

Thank you! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1393529075][/DOUBLEPOST]
Film a 20mm gatling gun shooting down a drone missile, it's quick and easy; all you need is a camera, a 20mm Close-in Weapon System (CIWS), and Learjet jet to pull the drone missile towards you. that's what I did for my first video....
O... that sounds...? AWESOME haha :P[DOUBLEPOST=1393529132][/DOUBLEPOST]

True, thanks! Good luck with your first video! :)

I agree with the others, definitely either an introduction-type video, or maybe even a tag video (if you're into that/if it fits with your channel).
