WHAT RENDER SETTINGS DO I USE?!

I have a Panasonic 1920x1080 Full HD camcorder and I edit with Sony Vegas..

But my videos still look a little blurry when I upload them to YouTube! What am I doing wrong?

Is the preview before the render the same as after? check your screen before rendering.
Also to render I personally use Quicktime 720p with 29.97 frames. Make sure the quality is best and render. Also check the preview WHILE rendering if it gets blurry.

Do your render settings have something called "Gaussian Blur" or your sharpness isn't 90 or above?

If you took the time to view his videos, there's no Gaussian Blur setting on.

It would help if we knew what program/software you use, but a fix I can tell you on the spot is not to upload at 1920x1080, since 1280x720 is good enough and is what many Youtubers (including myself) use for footage. *EDIT: I saw your video, and you seem to use sony vegas.*

If you use a software that allows manual resizing (dragging the pan box), use that instead as some programs make the video a tad too smooth and blurry with auto-resizing. I would also suggest changing the settings on your camcorder to record in 1280x720 if possible to avoid the constant resizing.

Keep in mind camcorders (even with HD) will usually be outranked by, say, DSLR cameras.
I'm not too familiar with the Panasonic HD, so I might be wrong.

Also, try to use better lighting. Videos should not be done the way yours are (with no lighting directed towards your face). Also try to stand closer to the camera and set some distance away from the background, so your camera can focus on YOU instead of the whole frame.

Good luck!

He does mention that he does use sony vegas

I render to 1080p MP4, that usually goes up and uploads pretty well into Youtube.

Wow :O You must have a beast computer..

Mine's a Latitude E6400 and it's on Windows 8.. I would render to 1080p instead of 720p, but the long extra waiting time isn't worth the extra quality when I'm only at 140~ subscribers.

Yup the extra strain and the duration difference isn't worth at all. I have 6gb ram comp and takes me 5-10mins for a 720p video while 1080 takes me like 1 hr.

Same here. My last video (long, 8 minute vlog) took me about 20 minutes to render with 720p 6mbps on Vegas 11, whereas a 1080p video I posted a while back (which was only 4 minutes) took almost 80 minutes.

I do watch all videos on their highest quality settings though.. :p
