I currentley make videos of video games on the computer. I use HyperCam3.

I do not have any program to record XBox, Wii, Or Nintendo DS Gameplay.

2 questions. 1, is there a program better than HyperCam3? and 2, What program can I use to record other gameplay?

Best is Fraps/Dxtory/Mirillis Action/Bandicam for PC gameplay. For console games I suggest the AverMedia Live Gamer HD/Hauppage HD PVR/Elgato/Black Magic. :)

Thanks! I will think about those. Also, will an ipod on a tripod also be a good idea?

Dxtory, fraps does not do multitrack audio which really sucks.
You need a PVR for console gameplay ^^

Fraps and DXtory are good programs to records PC gameplay. You need a capture card like Elgado in order to record PS/Wii/XBOX.

Not for recording games, you gotta have either a program such as fraps for PC and for console you need a capture card of some sort (Hauppauge, Diablo, etc.) but with these you need a decent mic to sound good so if you got turtle beaches, use those, but if you have some money and you plan on taking youtube serious then I would invest into a blu yeti mic, a blu snowball, one of those decent mics in the 100$ range.
