With this type of channel branding. Comments and poll answers are both accepted! This is the channel branding I am going for on my thumbnails. These three are on Left 4 Dead 2. Though, I will keep a similar style for any thumbnails I make. A glow effect around an entity/object with a complimentary color to the background and "mood" type., text or no text depending on the situation. Perhaps an icon, depending on the situation. Editing changing the things to be more visible to add effect (like Nick's glowing eyes and the increased bright contrast and a slight decrease of dark contrast behind him) (which means the darks are slightly lighter for visibility and the brights are brighter). Titles will be included because they are a part of branding in a sense (a style of title) that tell a story combined with a thumbnail. The third title is relevant to the picture because it was the character I played as in-game and was getting annoyed at the 3 others characters (which were AI controlled). I could have chosen to use the other 3, but I felt that the complaining title fit best with a complaining face of the character I have chosen to play as.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I even take most of the images used myself. As in, I go in-game and find the right moment for certain positions of the entities. Nick and Rochelle's poses were from images, but the backgrounds are my own taking.

Edit: For example, the first image is the section called Hotel and it is an image taken in that section. The second one is from the section called Streets and that is the most recognizable spot of that area. The third one is from the 4th section but the video included both the 3rd and 4th section, and I used the most notable one which is the car from the 4th section as the car is the primary objective.

Impressive... Keep it up :)

Looking gewd :p Depending on what the videos about, I'd click it
Live commentaries are averagely what I do. In these thumbnails/titles, I am just running through the campaign of Left 4 Dead 2 as a live commentary, uncut. Like a Let's Play. Though, even if it isn't a live commentary, I might lively react with my friends, depending on the video. The most uncommon one is an after-commentary. I still would choose something as relevant as I can trying for the best captivating thumbnail for the topic.

They are good and vibrant which would catch peoples eye and that would have a good chance of a person clicking on it.
