What is the greatest way to get into the related videos bar?

I was wondering if there is any way to get your videos to appear in the related videos section on the right side of the screen. Eventually I would like to be gaining subs and views from that instead of advertising on sites like yttalk.

Yeah, tags. You may have heard about the reply girls that were making video 'responses' that managed to ALWAYS be in the related videos of EVERY popular video. How did they do it? They copied and pasted the tags from the popular video. That's a stupid move, but the point is that if you use a wide selection of relevant tags, it's possibly you will end up in the related video section of relevant videos.

It used to be extremely easy. Simply copying tags, title and description would do it. Not anymore.
Now it seems they taylor the related videos to what will likely lengthen your time watching videos on youtube.

Tags and a good title are your best bet. My videos have been in the recommended a few times (12% of my video views) according to my analytics page, which is quite cool -- but I personally wouldn't have got there without advertising on here. in fact I doubt I'd have any subs or views at this juncture without it :D
