what is the best recording software

I use to use OBS but now i use camtasia recording and i edit with camtasia too so i want to know from you what is the best recording software
 
What graphics card do you use? If you have a Nvidia card, then the GeForce Experience app has a built in recorder that is actually really good!!! It also drops almost no frames.

If you have Radeon then I'm not sure... that may take some researching
 
I personally use Bandicam. Of course, you need some money to get it ( it costs $39 from their website), but the possibility is quite good.
You can record either full screen or custom sized window, choose preferred settings or set up your own, add a webcam and logo.... etc.
I think it's well worthy of its price

Bandicam is alright, I like how you can choose your screen size, or only record a certain part of the screen, which is cool.
 
I'm personally really happy with OBS Studio, which has way better performance than any other screen recorder (ShadowPlay doesn't work with OpenGL games, so that can't be considered for the games I record at all), I've tried Bandicam, Fraps (which was the worst for me BTW), OBS Classic, OBS Studio, Dxtory, Action and somehow OBS Studio has the best performance for me, after I changed the settings a bit
