What is a partner?

I've Got It
I keep hearing Travie Williams talk about partner and today something about a partner maker. So, here are my questions.

  1. What is a partner or partner maker?
  2. What does having a partner do for you?
  3. How much does it cost, if it cost anything?
  4. How many subscriptions do you need?
  5. What are good partners for ever day vloggers?
  6. How do you even find partners?

A partner or MCN (Multi-channel network) is a network that you can partner with when you decide to monetize your content. They basically help support your channel by giving you access to certain resources and guides but that's not the main reason why people join them. Most people apply for partnerships due to the security and ad rev split that comes with it. The ad revenue split is dependant on what network you're with... Some networks give you 90% whilst others can go as low as 60%. The percentage they take is from your CPM which tends to be around 2$ per 1k views. Most networks have strict subscription requirements which is not a bad thing as this allows them to give you more attention. As for finding networks I suggest Fullscreen, however they do have a high sub requirement. Also, one other thing - when I speak about networks, I mean partners. It's the same thing just another phrase. Hope this helps!

Ah OK thank you so much. This helped a lot.

Is there a difference between being a YouTube partner or a partner with Fullscreen ? Also can you be partner with more than one? I am still wrapping my head around all of this, thank you so much for any help :)

I don't know anything about being a YouTube partner, you'll have to ask Google that xD But no, you can only be with one partner at a time.
