What fonts look best in a thumbnail?

I've been experimenting and trawling the web, looking for good fonts for YouTube thumbnails, however I haven't been able to find any, I will post a few images of fonts I like, and I would like to ask,

"What font's do you use? and find appropriate for your videos?"
(also please name said fonts)

I'm liking the first one
I instantly knew what it said
The second I had to focus

To me it depends on the background
If your backgrounds busy and bright have a simple font :)

That makes sense! I struggle with finding good fonts and colours mainly because i'm colourblind, (tritanopia) I hate to pull the medical problem card, but its true xD

Ohh good you said because I was gonna say go on a colour wheel and pick the color opposite :D

If you want to see if a font works for a YouTube thumbnail, show your graphics at the same size as a YouTube thumbnail. There are plenty of fonts that look good in a large graphic that are unreadable when in a 2 inch thumbnail.
