What equipment?

Hi guys,

To perform a prank like this.....what equipment do I need?

(I cant seem to post the YouTube link in here, so go on YouTube and type 'Big Daws TV Missing High 5')

I am thinking a DSLR, soon I am buying a Canon 700D...it will come with the standard 18-55mm lens.....what lens do you recon they used in this prank? My cameraman wont want to be too close to the audience to get noticed.

I will need a MIC......how has this lad hidden his mic? Normally you can see it coming out of the top of the shirt, but it looks as though it’s underneath his t-shirt. Can you recommend a decent mic?

How do you recon they both communicated with each other during the prank? Anything I can buy to help this?

I love bigdaws, I think he uses a prime lens in his videos. For a mic I'd recommend a zalman clip on mic and I think it transmits into headphones that the cameraman will wear.
 
I'm not too sure what lens they've used but the 18-55mm lens is a standard zoom lens and would probably be okay for that kind of thing! I'd recommend waiting until you get it and testing it out.

As for the microphone, I'd do a bit of research and just find a good radio mic with good range (so it doesn't cut in and out if you're stood from a fair distance). If the cameraman puts earphones into the camera he should be able to hear you.

What sort of prime lens? Sorry if that is a silly question. Never heard of a Prime lens before
