Recently youtube showed me this message where it says that my average daily views went from 170 to 770. Does this mean youtube will start recommending my videos so they will from now and on get about 700 views per day or it is only informative?

I'm guessing (<- really, just guessing) it's strictly informative. Do you know what promoted your content? Since you only see a one day peak, I'm also guessing (again, just guessing) that it would be something that doesn't get much recurring traffic, maybe a Instagram story or a friend at a party..? Hard to guess, It depends on your content I suppose.

But still cool, congrats!

I posted the video on the reddit and got about 700 upvotes and that got me that much views. But I was not sure if this was just informative or not. Thanks!

I've been thinking about Reddit too, but not sure yet. Whilst getting so much traffic and views - did you get any subscribers from that? Just curious.
 
It's strictly informative and doesn't give any mention of future views. It also says the views are from outside Youtube, so it has no information on whether YouTube will be recommending your videos in the future.
