What do you use to record and edit?

I personally use fraps to film, and Camtasia to edit. Nice and simple.

If it was up to me i'd still be using camtasia to edit, it looks nice and is simple
Unfortunately my Sony Handycam i use for vlogging demands that I use Vegas

Record:
Elgato Game Capture HD. Works like a charm.
Logitech Desktop mic (though I have a Blue Snowball Mic coming in the mail...should be here soon!)
Audacity for audio files.

Edit:
Windows Movie Maker. Free, and I can cut the video. I don't do much editing outside of that. If I can cut parts of the video up, I'm good to go.

I record with the Hauppauge hd pvr 1212 edition.. Edit with Sony Vegas pro 10 and design my thumbnails in photoshop
