What do you think of pity subs?

Rachael

I Love YTtalk
I try not to do this, because inactive subscribers are worse than not having them at all. But sometimes you just really want to support someone, even if you don't like their videos.

I guess it happens. But at the end of the day, I usually don't like to clutter up my subscription box (trust me, there are enough videos in there as it is!)

If the person seems genuinely interesting, even if their video quality isn't the best, I'll probably subscribe. But I'm not going to do it out of pity.

i made a video about this a while back. alot of people complain about their stats and alot of people give the old pity sub. if i was to support someone i would never give a pity sub,i'd let them know what i think and if down the road i feel their content has improved i would definitely sub.

Ive subscribed to people before to help them along as I thought back then but it wasnt out of pity, these days getting a subscription from me is rare, I just dont have the time to keep up with every channel that I like and I dont want to become a dead subscriber of theirs so I will unsubscribe if I know I wont be watching their videos any time soon. I sometimes resubscribe when I find my interest peaking in their subject matter.

There will be no pity subscribers from me. As to inactive subscribers, you will end up with those. I am subscribed to more than I can watch too. It is hard to watch YouTube videos when it takes you half a day to edit a video to put up.
