I love your avatar! I am usually very supportive and fond of simple banners too but I just wasn't feeling it.
Maybe it was the slightly beige-ness of the BG color? Maybe it was the brown-ness of the font? Or most likely it was just the cursive font.

I don't know. If you like it, that should be all that counts but I think it's something I would never do. It has a feminine touch, if that is what you are after, as opposed to a cool touch, which I am more focused on.
