what are the proper dimensions for the YouTube banner on your channel?

I try the 2560 by 1440 and the 2048 by 1157 dimensions and it cuts out a whole bunch of stuff on the desktop and even worst if its on your phone.

What do you use that will display nice on desktop?

Also is there a way to customize each dimension and banner art for TV, desktop and cell individually? Or is it one size fits all for Youtube?
