What are somegood free Mac screen recorders

My friend is starting up a youtube channel but he has a mac and he wants to know what the best free Mac screen recorder is any help?

QuickTime is built into macs and might work.

Yeah it doesn't work good for me after I updated from 10.6.8 to 10.8( pointless detail)
I don't know any other good free software, most have watermarks.

I would suggest saving a bit and buying ScreenFlow - the best screen recorder for the MAC, period!
