weird blue dot

Super Poster
I recorded some footage on my canon 700d and when i was in a darker room this weird small blue dot became visible.

I've recorded other things since and its gone now but i was just a bit worried what it could have been?

when i recorded it at the time i was using the studio lights then went into a dark room don't know if that had anything to do with it?

anyway i have put in a pic so you can see it...

Could be a dead pixel on the CMOS (camera sensor)
Try taking a few pictures see if it turns up

What is a dead pixel? Is that bad?
You know how computer screens are made up of millions of pixels? So are camera sensors (slighlty more complicated, but that's the basics).
A dead pixel is when one of the pixeks on the screen/etc stops responding/working, it'll turn blue (usually) and you can't really do much about it.
I've had a dead pixel in the past and I managed to "restart" it by applying a tiny bit of pressure on it. Don't do that with a camera though.

:( I hope I don't have this

I recorded a video just now and it seems to of gone

What causes them? Could it come back?

Sometimes things just fail, could also be a stuck pixel or many other things. If it's gone, there's no telling if it'll come back.

Dead pixels are pretty common and less noticeable, a stuck pixel is a bigger problem.
Your picture looks like neither to me, I'm guessing it's an odd reflection or something small on the lens--make sure it's clean.
