Ways of creating nice looking intros?

So I have an intro that's alright, but I feel like I want to improve and have an intro with atleast minor animations and some music. I've been looking around on how to create such an intro, but mostly it requires you to have quite good animation skills (which I unfortunately don't have). So does anyone know if there's a simple way of creating an intro of my desire? Thanks in advance!

Adobe After Effects allows you to do good/simple stuff. Look at my most recent intro for instance, made entirely in After Effects. And I don't know a thing about After Effects. (Did learn some things while making that intro though)

Have a look at some good Tutorials on YouTube, then tweak everything to fit what you want.

The skills you need to learn is:
Scale:
Position:
Rotation:
Opacity:

these are added in basically every program. What program do you use?

Well none really. My current intro is basically just a picture that spins 360 degres as it gets bigger. I made it by using blue screen in the background and pan crop, I did everything in sony vegas. Do you know any good programs that I can start out with?

Thanks a lo mate, I will take a look at your suggestion! Though I'm open for more help, so if anyone got another tip I'd gladly accept it!

Well, if you're familiar with Sony Vegas, then you can definitely make a decent intro there as well. Same thing applies as with After Effects, go to YouTube, look up intro tutorials, find a few you like, watch, tweak, maybe add things and features from more than one tutorial, and you have yourself an intro ^^

Some of my older videos (Most of Pikmin Series) uses an intro I made in Sony Vegas. Though that intro was a bit long, people never complained. (actually got one guy saying he loved it, even though he usually hates anything longer than 4 secs)
