Warner Bros. Copyright question

Hey guys, we have a bit of a massive secret project in the works but before we get to deep, I want to be sure we can monetize the video when its done. All I can say is it involves the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon from the 90's, some DC Comics action figures (including Batman). Is there any way DC or Warner Bros. could file a cease and desist or otherwise prevent us from monetizing the video as along as all audio and video is completely original?

Thanks!

Mike

As long as you're not posting full episodes of Batman, then it is perfectly fine and your video should be completely original.[DOUBLEPOST=1367812905,1367811680][/DOUBLEPOST]

Check out my newest thread if you're still interested in this, as it goes further into details about who allows monetization.

They most definitely could. It's just a matter of will they? If the video blows up in views, they're likely to take notice. Being visual infringement only means that Google won't automatically alert WB once the video is up.

Content is the next question. Let's say this thing blows up. Is the content something that WB can see as beneficial to the Batman brand?

These are the sort of things you need to consider. I've got a Blue Ivy Illuminati video moving faster in views than any of my other videos, at the moment. But I'm not going to monetize it for fear of hurting my account status.
