Want to conver some songs...is it possible?

Hello, I would like to cover some US songs, like Justin Bieber, Usher, Dr dre. 2pac...you name it.

I am going to translate all the lyrics to Japanese and sing it....I guess lyrics part is not a problem with copyright, What I am wondering is how can I manipulate the tune?

Am I allowed to sing the song with Japanese lyrics with original sound or tweaked sound?

Please advise....if possible I wanted to monetize it, but...

cover songs are technically not legal without explicit consent from the label.
But by tweaking the song a bit you can usually avoid content_id matches

No way, original sound will pick up a content_id match.
You`lll have to pay someone to rework the instrumental.

how about change the pace or change the sound to lower pitch?
