Waiting Game?

I've Got It
Hi so all of my previous videos people have enjoyed and i've got a selection of likes and views which is cool, however yesterday I released my first vlog style video which has only got about 40 views so far and no likes. Does this mean people don't like it or should I keep making vlogs and gradually an audience will build for this?

I enjoy making these things and they are fun to show family and friends but its even more fun to get people who also enjoy my content that I've never met so this is why im curious.

Thanks for reading,

Sean.

Try doing some gameplay as well. or pick a subject alot of ppl will want to talk about otherwise its just another person rambling on about somthing of lil interest. I dont vlog my self so what I say here could be totaly s***e :p just my opinion, and never stop man, keep going till it changes.

Yup it wont just be vlogs the idea is to make sketches etc but the vlogs are so that there is something regular on the channel as well. Hopefully it will pick up after a while :) thanks for your post!

Make your vlogs with your audience in mind. Think about who you want watching your videos and what they might like to see.

Yes I guess thats quite a key point in video making which I overlooked hah. Will hopefully improve on my next video :D Thanks for posting.

As long as you enjoy what you do, that's it! When I first joined youtube I would work really hard on a video, it would only get about 10 views, but I continued making them anyway, because I enjoyed it, even if I wasn't getting much views. Now it has been a year and I have gradually gotten more views and subs, faster and faster, I now have 100+ subs and over 60,000 total uploaded views, so it's basically just waiting, but for what it's worth, i'd go for it! :D

Thanks for reading,

Sean,

YT and having a channel is a perpetual game of, "Hurry up and wait!"

Patience wins the day, but kudos to branching out artistically and challenging yourself to make different content.

In the long-run it will pay off, just wait for your audience to jive with your new content. If they are there because they liked your old stuff, the real fans will dig you new stuff too.

Best wishes,
~Dylan

Ty man that was encouraging. When growing an audience do you have to bring your own or do people find you from YouTube still? Cause 'bring your own' is where I have the most trouble tbh.

Sometimes you just gotta wait it out. Do some promoting and comment on other vlogs to draw an audience. But remember dont post spam like "please come check out my video its really aweseome...etc". Give some constructive criticism and maybe ask for some in return.
