Vlogs?

I've always been curious but vlogs how do people make such an exciting video that grabs the attention of viewers. Or get there videos out there with vlogs. Would the video have to be long or short or clips consist or long pieces or short with music?
 
I took a glimpse at your channel so I'm assuming you're referring to life/daily vlogs. In my opinion, daily vlogs are one of the hardest channels to get out there because unless you have an amazingly interesting life then a lot of people are not going to care. I had a conversation with someone about this the other week. Some of the bigger, famous vlog channels out there today didn't really start out as a vlog channel. Such as the Shay Carl. He made videos and gained an audience and then began to make vlog videos.

With any new, small channel it wouldn't hurt to have short videos. It would even be better to your advantage. If no one knows who you are you shouldn't make long, lingering videos. Keep them short. Anything longer than five minutes is insane. Edit out your video so your viewers only see the entertaining highlights. The short videos with music like in your trailer is more of an artsy video form. You can get views from it but I'm just saying now, it would be better to make videos that have humor and can make a viewer smile or laugh. Think about a video that can make it on the front page of the youtube channel.
 
Awesome man thank you I've done a lot of traveling and decided to turn it into videos meanwhile having a gopro mind as well bring good use out of it lately I've done a lot of urban exploring. It's a big risk to take but the thrill is amazing I'll have to make those a much smaller video.

Trips vlog is very good idea. We have something similar on our channel. Just one advice. The visuals are very good. There is a lot of action. Just try to "glue" better the elements. May be slightly more commentaries. If you can not add them during the filming add them after - during the editing. Just something like:
OK now we are here, then we go there because.... and it was very cool because:, first reason, second reason third etc.
Our brains are hungry both for visuals/action but also for information. Saturate with more structured information your movies (information which makes your viewers more easily understand what is going on). Do not over rely on cool visuals.
