VLOGS: Using Camera VS Cell Phone

These days, cellphones are quite capable and they are multi-purpose. What are the pro's and cons for using cellphones or similarly sized pocket cameras? Some discussion points would be ease of handling, stands, quality, transferring files, etc.

Quality can be lower on mobiles, and it may be harder to find stands for them.

Do some research into your phone model and see if the quality is good (both audio and video) then see if stands are available. If so, then this would be a possibility for you to use.

The smaller the sensor, the more light they need, so a cellphone camera needs a lot more light to produce a decent quality picture than a DSLR. That's what I notice most from cellphone videos-lots of graining/noise in dark portions of the picture.

Actually, yes I agree.

If I were you, I would buy a professional camera. All the top YouTubers do use them to be fair. It can work out a bit expensive for you though (although I'm sure you'll be able to find a good deal with some, research).

Moved this over to the hardware section :)

if you're phone has decent quality and sound only for being on the go there's no problem but I think it would be good to have a camera since they would have capabilities the phone doesn't have :)

If you have a decent phone then it may be able to do the video job for you but the audio quality will not be good.
