Hi,
I'm worried my first few videos I have lined up for my new channel are too long but I dont want to cut it any further because there is a lot of good content within. So instead I want to cut it up as a seperate file roughly 5mins long and make it a highlights video for visitors to watch. If they are interested and want to see the full video of each highlight reel, then they can subscribe to unlock more content.

Is there a way of making some videos only viewable for subscribers?
 
you cant do it. I personaly see no point in cutting it up anyway. the problem with highlight reels is if i just watched the funniest bits why would i then want to go watch them again in another video that also has like 5-7 mins or so of content that didnt make the reel? I personaly wouldnt do it.
 
Yeah, the only way you can have videos viewable but not indexed is to make them unlisted and give the links to people, which is how some people give out updates to subscribers on Patreon and Kickstarter and such.
 
I don't think it's possible to do with YouTube, though that's a great idea you've come up with, I wish that was a thing with the website.

Here's a idea. Why don't you make the video in to 2 videos like make the video in to 2 parts series that would definitely be way way better! :)
