so i seen some videos on yt with different answer of this question im about to ask. my i understand that we get paid from ppl clicking on our ads on our videos but what i get confused is also dont we also get paid on how many views we get too? if so do they also add the two together to determine how much we get monthly?

1. You get paid for monetised views and clicks on ads
2. the value is determined by YouTube and how much advertisers are paying, and other components like what time of the day it is, who is watching, etc.
3. you won't know until you get paid.

All payments on YouTube are based on ads, not views. Now, that said it depends on what kind of ad as to what the payment trigger is. Display overlay ads for example pay on clicks whereas trueview (click to skip) style ads pay after the viewer has watched 15 seconds of the ad.

Getting paid on YouTube has nothing to do with views it has to do completely with ads.

Example to make it simple lets say both videos have a CPM of $5. So $5 per thousand views. CPM is the cost per 1000 views:
Video A has 100,000 views and 95,000 of those views are monetizable and have ads and the if the ads are skippable they watch at least 30 seconds of the ad before skipping.
Video B has 1,000,000 views and 100,000 of those views have ads that people watch.

The person who A would actually get close the same amount of money as the person who made Video B even though Video B has ten times more views.

Another example, to make it simple lets say 50% of both their video views have ads that get clicked:
Video C has 1,000,000 views 500,000 and monetizable views with a CPM of $2
Video D has 600,000 views and 300,000 monetizable views with a CPM of $8

The person who made video D would get more money then the person who made video C even though video C has more views.

Keep in mind these are just examples, so the numbers might seem a bit extreme but it just a way of showing that just because a video has more views does not mean they make more money. Hope you aren't too confused by this.

if thats the case why would do ppl join network (money wise) i mean what would be the different between adsense and other networks

Some networks have their own ad sales teams that provide more ads and a supposedly higher cpm. Plus they can offer paid product placement and sponsorships for more money. Also, for really big YouTubers they give they opportunities to do things beyond YouTube. For the small channels you probably won't make more money from joining a network, they just join for the perks (audio library, promotion, etc.) And don't forget my examples were a little bit extreme it was just illustrate a point.

i get ur points sorry if i feel dumb to u.
so when they mean by $1 per cpm it doesnt mean views its per ad? (another confusing part)

No I don't think you are dumb. Dumb people think that ALL YouTubers make millions of dollars. Cpm means cost per thousand views. So a $1 cpm means that the advertiser would pay $1 for every thousand views on that particular ad. You would get to keep a portion of this money but not the whole $1 because that is the price the advertiser paid to google to put their ad on YouTube.[DOUBLEPOST=1409283743,1409283696][/DOUBLEPOST]And just to be clear, I'm not an expert on this or anything. I don't know a ton but I learned a lot by reading the forums here.
