Views Network locations...

Don't think negative about this post, but I was curious about something. All these botting sites that sell fake yt views, comments...etc..I'm interested in the networks they are using, what are those called?

I'm about to film a documentary on the hidden secrets of YouTube and this is one of the segments. The issue is, I have no way of searching of how these sites are able to provide so called views...etc, like who are those sources...etc, thats what I'm trying to find out, all my searches lead to sites that sell the services, but I need to find out where they are buying their services from to offer their services.

If anyone knows where I could start (search terms, actual companies...etc), please let me know, thanks!

They don't have a network, they just have robots that make fake accounts which will sub to a channel and click on to the video and then click off.

Well, I remember roughly about a year ago, I've talked to a company about it and they did lead me to a company out of Russia, but I completely forgot about it. Was just wondering, so if anyone knows a lead I can follow up on, please let me know!

When you are talking about networks you assume that its some sort of big organization, in most cases its not, usually its a computer able person who is able to spoof his IP writes a program which has a simple task of going to the pasted video and changing IP's so it looks like many different users went there, by doing this thousands of times it creates "Views", I don't know the actual programs but its as simple as that

Well I did know about that also, but if anyone has names on those programs, that would be awesome. Thanks!

The view bots are simple, each video view passes certain information to the YouTube stat server. People have been able to intercept this and only 1 part was encrypted, they figured it out. Now all they do is parse that info to the stat server many times to emulate views. Actual viewing of a video never happens.

I read an article a while ago by a guy who makes a living off of this stuff
