Views, Likes and Subscribers

I saw a few people asking what are views, likes and Subscribers for!
So there is the explication:

• Subscribers and Likes: I wanted to put this two together because of this things you improve the same thing. Here is an example: A guy with more views (jacksepticeye) will reather pop up on the main YouTube page than me. And this is becouse the ammount of views and likes.
• Views: It's very simple: Views = money. Youtube will pay you or the network you are working for a ammount of money every 1000 views.

So I hope I'm right, and if not reply what you guys think!

Good info. You should probably note though just how complex the algorithm YouTube uses to rank channel is though. When I say channel I'm talking about your channels videos ranked on search results. I believe on top of subscribers for the channel, it also counts channel activity and how frequently you upload, watch time and viewer retention, as well as views total for the channel.

of course smaller channels should not get discouraged as precise SEO can still get your video on top

could you please explain with more détails on how to do SEO for youtube videos , as i see here and there all people said that you need a good amount of views to rank but as a small channel you can't get views until you do advertising or something

Hey man cheers.

Regarding getting views as a small channel with no extra help from ranking, there are some things you need to keep in mind.

Not all videos that you make will be possible to get popular no matter how much SEO you do. You'll need to strategically choose what to make a video of. When doing this you need to do research by finding out which video ideas and types of videos are currently getting a lot of traffic and pick one idea that you think you can compete your video in. Then when you make your video make sure the tags are very focused but that there are many of them, and that the description is rich with keywords you would associate with the video idea your chose (that's not to say add tags in your description). When choosing what tags to add and keywords, my advice is to search you video idea or title, and see what current recommended searches youtube suggests. Then try adding those as tags as well as delving into those searches and looking for keywords from there was well.

Of course this isn't an exact science obviously, and the more competition the harder it is. You just need to keep posting videos in this manner, always thinking about what people would be actively searching for at the current time, and what other people haven't done yet.

Not to mention certain videos, like life vlogs or gaming lets plays for mainstream games are going to be tough in this situation, because not that many people are actively searching for the titles that would match your video title in that scenario (as compared to tutorial or how to style videos). In these scenarios tagging involves finding other youtubers who are doing the same type of video as youtube and trying to tag your video in ways that are relevant to their video of it instead. Kinda like hijacking views. Other than that, share you video as much as possible.

Hopefully that wasn't too abstract to understand. I probably should have included practical examples but it was getting a tad long.
