Video views count reset?

I was checking my youtube account when I noticed that my video views went from 240,000 to 499.

Anyone know the problem o__o?
 
Yes sounds like you might have been botted. This happens when YT makes a mistake or you get illegitimate views, I went for 40k to 11k the other day

Thing is, I've had 240,000 views since 2006 from videos I made back then but deleted recently :/
 
I posted a topic a few days ago when this very thing happened to me. Had a bunch of big vids from 2006-07 that I deleted years ago. Just this past week I lost 286,000 channel views. I also see this same effect on a lot of channel stats (I look at SocialBlade a lot) around this same time.

I think YouTube just decided to subtract views for videos that you delete now.

same, but i'm saying it seems like a pretty big change. it would've been nice to get an email about it.
