I Love YTtalk
I see a lot of people who think that most successful youtubers just magically become big through luck or whatever, and then because of this they are able to produce really high quality and entertaining videos. I know because I used to be one of those people. I'd think things like, "oh well of course he can make such great videos, he's got a million subscribers!"
I agree with what you mentioned. You have to upload in the best quality you can muster. You have to be your own editor. If you don't like a video you are about to upload it's because you know you could have done better. It takes me hours to edit a vlog, and even longer to do my cars and coffee videos. Why? Because I edit, watch, edit, watch, encode and upload or go back to edit, watch, encode for the second time, watch and then upload. If I see something I could have fixed I don't just upload, I go back and fix it. That way I can truly say it's the best I can do. I went from 0 to 1.2k subscribers in slightly less than 2 years. Sure, hardly the success story. But did I think I would hit 1k subscribers? Hell no. Numbers aren't everything, but I would lie if I didn't want to grow to 10k and 100k after that. You just have to remember one thing. Have fun, do the best you can, and perhaps success can be yours. And if not? You're still having fun aren't you?
