Video not eligible for monetization?!?!?! Nothing Wrong!

Really brief, I uploaded this video today.

" Top 3 Body weight/Forearm Grip Strength Exercises"

It was up for about 10 hours before I got a message saying my video is no longer eligible for monetization. Knowing Youtube I know that they won't reply back to me without their automated message so I came here.

Also take a look at this :
Content considered inappropriate for advertising (not advertiser friendly)
Content includes, but is not limited to:
  • Sexually suggestive content, including partial nudity and sexual humor
  • Violence, including display of serious injury and events related to violent extremism
  • Inappropriate language, including harassment, profanity and vulgar language
  • Promotion of drugs and regulated substances, including selling, use and abuse of such items
  • Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown

None of my content violated this, does anyone know what I can do?

The video seems OK. May be too much product placement and links to different products in the description. Sometimes they can disable monetization for this stuff.

As chottom mentioned, it's likely the product placement that's doing it.

Video monetization criteria
You must meet these minimum requirements in order to monetize your videos:

  • Your content is advertiser-friendly.

Use these best practices to successfully monetize your content on YouTube:
  • Don't embed promotions for your own sponsors in your video since this can create advertiser conflict. Learn more about paid product placement policy.

I find it interesting that sexual suggestive content and inappropriate language are against the rules, and yet, TONS of HUGE youtubers do it in every single video.

You can appeal the decision, ask for another assessment.

Click on the monetisation symbol in video manager to do this.

Also flag the video as having any endorsements etc. under content declaration.

This is done in the advanced settings under edit.

I recently had a video assessed as advertiser unfriendly, and after a request for reassessment it was approved for monetisation.
