Video Length

For someone at my channel size (6 subs) how long should my gaming videos be up to? At first I thought about 13 minutes but then I realized not many people are going to sit through that with such a small audience. Then I thought around 5 minutes each. What length would you suggest for me?

I just did around 13 minutes toward the start, and steadily, I'm making longer videos. THe more subs you get, the more retention you'll get.

Yeah 5 minutes sounds good. People didn't even sit through a minute of my videos when I only had 6 subs. It's still a struggle for me with now 52 subs.

I'd start with shorter videos (5-7 mins) so people are more likely to watch the whole video (assuming that there's no problem in terms of video and audio) and then move onto longer videos

I would watch a ten to 15 minute video depending on the type of gaming video, if its just a commentary, then keep it going as long as you have things to talk about. if its a lets play, then 15 minutes upwards

I see nothing wrong with starting off with shorter videos and gradually increasing the time as your subs go up .

It depends on the video really. If there is a video that is 20 mins long, and it only has 10 minutes of content? 10 minutes is the way to go.

Your video length should reflect the amount of good content in it. A set length will not really help you much. :/
