Video Intro Question.

Hi, I'm new as you can tell.

New here, and new to the whole video uploading/partner ship thing, I had a question though, and I wasn't really sure WHERE to put it. So this is my second time posting it, I guess this would be the right category, or partnerships.

Anyways, I know part of the rules and guidelines, are that you must own all music, etc. so my question is, if your using a video "intro designer" (like I'm using "Intro Designer" for the iPhone), are you able to legally use those intro templates??? As well as the intro "songs" they contain?

I would think they KNOW people are gonna use it to make intros for their YouTube videos, but I was just wondering if it was/is supposed to be strictly just for personal use. Or if you can actually use that on YouTube.

It the description of the app, it says, that you can upload to Facebook, and YouTube. But once again, if you plan on making revenue, does that change whether or not you can use it?

(And I guess this is a general question not just for "iPhone/Intro Designer" users, but people that use an intro designer in general).

P.s, sorry for rambling on haha, I just wanted to explain it as detailed and clearly as possible, I appreciate any and all help!

The built in sound effects in editing software are usually all royalty free. You can use and upload them without breaking any copyright laws.
I use the built in sound effects in Final Cut, for example, and upload my videos fine.

You can also find sites online that have tons of royalty free soundtrack music for you to use, completely free.

Hmm...well that would make sense. :)

Okay, how about as far as, THEIR (the app), default intro music that goes along with the intro video? Now, you can easily mute that, and I have no problem making/putting original theme music Ito it. But I'm just curious, like, if I preferred the theme song for the specific template. As far as sound effects go, I understand that now, but, for the theme music. How does that work?

And also, for the templates themselves. Are we (the app users), able to use the templates if we plan to monetize our videos? Or is the app just for personal use? For example, you mentioned that you use, Final Cut. So, I would assume your able to use the intro templates it provides? Even if your using them on your monetized videos? Because, I'm sure it'd be faar more difficult to create an entirely original intro template/video.

Lots of sound effects available royalty free from videoblocks. You can also get royalty free backgrounds and stock footage there. Make sure to read the licencing agreement. You can sign up for 7 days for free.
