Hey guys, So I've done something in a few of my videos and I have a question about this..

first, watch my latest video ( couldnt add a link here )

If u watch this, then heres the question : Am I allowed to use that intro to the power rangers tv show in my video when doing a cover of the song? I think it looks cool, but not sure if thats a good way to do things, any suggestions or tips?

I think IF i someday can make earnings from youtube ( Optimist much? :p) am i then gonna get in troubble for this? because then Im gonna stop doing it now :p hehe anyways, thanks for reading:)
 
Covers are not a protected element under fair use, which essentially means that you need a license in order to produce and publicly distribute one. However, that notwithstanding, even if you got the license to use the music, that doesn't necessarily grant you license to use the visuals. Copyright law isn't a simple thing. :p
