Video Editing Computer?

I'm looking into buying a new desktop, since I'm making youtube videos now I want to make sure it can handle multitasking and running the programs I need. Right now it takes me something around 3-4 hours to render a 10min video in vegas on my current pc, and in the mean time if I want to run any other program such as photoshop its extremely slow.

I don't want to spend a fortune, so if anyone has a suggestion on a reasonably priced computer or could give me some suggestions on the specs I want to be looking for I would appreciate it.

I'm looking for something under $700 if possible. I will go a little more but I want to shop around and try to find something in this price range first.
 
With $700, you could build a pretty damn good computer. I always recommend building one rather than buying a pre built machine. Newegg is a great site to start from (unless you have a microcenter near by). Plus, building one is very easy.
 
I could build one but I always get nervous when I go under the hood of a computer I feel like everything is so delicate. I might do it though it sounds fun to build a computer from scratch for my first time :)
