Video about musicians who plagiarized others music?

I was gonna make a video of say ten songs that were plagiarized, for example, Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin, My Sweet Lord by George Harrison, that one by Pharrell and that creepy guy. Can I use short clips as fair use or is one second counted as copyright violation (I suspect it is)?

no you can't use it, you might get in trouble (not necessarily but i wouldn't want to find out...)

In short, it doesn't matter if your subject matter would fall under fair use or not. As soon as you attempt to upload a video with any of those songs in it, even if only a second or so long, YouTube's ContentID will pick them up and you'd be flagged for 3rd party.

The video itself won't get pulled and you wouldn't receive a copyright strike, but someone else would be able to monetize it and earn money from it.

Yeh the ContentID is so crap, I once put up a cover of a classical piano piece whose score is in the public domain and the piano player had dedicated their performance to the public domain but I got a content ID from Warner Brothers because they probably have an album of some c**t who has done the same song and obv it sounds similar
