Very First Complete Intro

Hey everyone whats up?

I created a little intro video today using after effects cs5 and wanted to know your thoughts?
I know theres a bit of a black bar on the sides thats my bad I encoded using the wrong frame size :P gotta change that :P

But let me know what you think and anything i could improve :)

 
I like it, it's simple and doesn't take long to play through, however maybe you could make the background move or use video in the background?

Search YT for tutorials :D
 
I agree with Acrowley about it not moving but it is a good first attempt and I like how short it is. I think it would be a little better if you added some style to the text you could try adding a drop shadow or 2d shadow to the text so it brings it out a bit more. If you are able to do some 3D text in Photoshop or Cinema 4D I think the text would look excellent, theres loads of tutorials this one here is decent by CathyDirector:

Gotta back this up by saying you DO NOT need loads of money for expensive software... there are 'methods' of 'borrowing' them for a long time :P
 
Thanks alot guys, ya this is my first time ever using after effects so just wanted to keep it simple, but ya I want to make it 3d text which i will be able to do just gotta practice :P and the background i'll try to make it move too :) but wanted to keep it short and simple for my first one :)
