Using the iMac Camera?

FantasyGamerX

'Cause Grades.
So until recently, I used iMovie's built in to record my videos. Now I wanna grow up and use Final Cut Pro X like the big boys. The only problem being that FCPX don't has builts inz recording feature! I don't like Photo Booth, is there any other app to record with the built in iMac camera?

You can record with your iMac's iSight camera in Final Cut Pro X. Just import, and select the iSight camera.

What he said. Final cut is a hell of a program. Might want to start thinking about investing in a camera at some point.

Making videos is top priority though. You got that straight.

Yeah I definitely am going to get a camera soon (hopefully for my birthday) Do you have any suggestions for a relatively cheap camera that records in HD? I don't need anything TOO crazy :p

Is there anything cheaper? It does look pretty spectacular but I'm not sure I want to pay that much...

That's definitely on the very cheap end of the spectrum - I'd save up and make the investment. For reference, look at the vlogger's standby camera, the Canon 60D (which was far more expensive back when everybody was buying it).

Well, I better start saving now (or wait for my birthday whichever comes first :p )

I have a few cameras (Canon G1X and EOS 650D), a old IXUS (nowadays they all record in 1080p) and a Sony HDD camcorder.

I would recommend you the Canon S110 too, will give you lots of future potential and it packs tons of features in a small body! Might get this one at some point too or maybe the S120 when it will replace the S110.

cheers
