Using music

I was wondering if there was anyway to use a professional artists song in a youtube video. I want to use a couple of eminems songs, but I know it is illegal. Is there anyway to legally do this.

I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct but I believe you can use the song as long as you give eminem credit in your video. The only way he or his producer can take legal actions against you is if you receive money from your video

No one watches every video to see if you gave credit or not. It's all automated and if they detect the sound in your video, they will take it down whether you monetize or not. The only legal way would be paying royalties. This is for Eminem btw, every song/singer may have different licensing, but you can bet you're going to have a bad time if you use any major artist's work.

You're right. You definitely don't want to be using professional music in your videos but I refuse to believe that they'll take it down themselves. I just made a thread about a song we covered that youtube recognized as copyrighted content and my old channel had a couple videos with popular music and those vids are still there. The most they'll do is mute your video
