Using Mics?

I'm just curious how many of y'all use a mic to capture your audio in your videos? Not like for voice overs or commentaries but for sketches or vlogs or really anything where you are on camera.

I'm using the "Audio Technica AT2020" wich is a good mic, not too expensive for a commentator, signer, and just random voice recording :) It's a good quality mic as well hah :p You might want to checkout the USB version of it (the normal version needs phantom power)

I also use a Rode, but I use a shotgun mic. Mainly because I do a lot of car drifting videos and need the extra range. It was a decent price, I think about $100 and works great!! I will be looking into a lavaliere mic also soon. Audio makes a huge difference when your making videos. If it sounds like crap then people will be turned off.

I found that switching from the internal Mic of a Nikon D7000 to a wireless Senheiser lavalier was one of the biggest steps forward in terms of professionalism.
I guess the tolerance for bad audio is lower than the tolerance for bad video (Picture) quality.
