Username Advice?

Well I decided that I may as well give YouTube a try even though I might not be very good at it lol. The only problem is I'm not sure what I should use as my Username. For a long time I've gone as MegaFlanX online because I couldn't think of anything better and Megaman X is one of my favorite games.

I think that I would like something fresh and new for my own personal YouTube channel you know? I'm thinking that i'll mainly be posting videos on Pokemon, Smash Bros and other Nintendo stuff.

So yeah how can I think of some good usernames and if you have any suggestions let me know!

Awesome question! Well, as far as usernames go, I personally think they are important in how you want to carry your channel. If you are worried about branding, and want to market yourself in a professional manner. Right away you want to get rid of the name "MickyMcGamePlayer170945XxX2230". Let your name connect you with your content, and be easy to remember. If you just want a quirky name, then try to come up with something that has meaning to you, it'd make for a great story to tell your viewers.
 
I agree with the above. I think that the name should reflect your personality as a person. Something simple, yet effective...

I'm not the best at names (lol)
 
Welp, my favorite way to make a username is to take two cool things that I like and make a neat word with it, so lessee here...

-NinXDo (X As in roman numeral 10, but also can be a reference to Megaman X)
-The NinXShow

Personally, I'd do something around there. Taking something from Nintendo, Mega Man X, and maybe even Pokemon to make a shnazzy name. :coolshades:
 
Making the name personal to me isn't a bad idea though I'm having a hard time actually coming up with anything half way decent. Maybe if I use my actual name in it? (Alexis or Lexi for short) though I'm not sure.

Thinking of a good username is hard!

I agree, but while branding is essential, the videos matter more :)
 
Even thought I dont plan to be a Let's Player, Ive seen two really interesting videos on Youtube giving advices on naming yourself, they are :

"How-To Make LPs - #2 Choosing a Username" by MadameWario

and

"Let's Play Advice · Part 1 · Introduction and a Good Username" by darkmindedsith

Thought I'm kinda passing these so you could set on the name yourself (You need to be happy with your name ;D), I kinda like the sound of MegaFlanX, but something like LexiFlanX, or even LexiFlan also sounds nice (thought It's just my opinion, opinions may differ of course :V)

Thanks! Those videos were helpful though I still haven't had any good idea for usernames yet but at least I have some idea of what a good username is :)
