URGENT: Can my firm use clips on youtube without violating any rights?

Me and my firm are going to have an exhibition, where we could like to use some clips from YouTube. The clips we are going to use is musicvideos, which illustrates a varitey of rock bands up through the century.

Now my question is: Can we just take clips from YouTube and use them for our exhibition, without the risk of being sued? Or what can we do to gain the sufficient rights? Should we contact the uploader, the record label, the artist?

The risk of lawsuit will depend on who is in attendance. Can you just take clips legally for an exhibition? No, of course not. Should you ask permission, yes. Might you have to pay a license fee? maybe.
