Uploading to Youtube

I use iMovie and usually upload straight from there. It usually takes about an hour or two. When I save the file to my computer and upload it right from youtube, it takes like 4 days. Which way is better to upload and the 2nd option, how can I make it faster? thanks

As third party uploader tend to be unreliable especially when YouTube changes the API the second option is the better one in my eyes. You can make it upload faster by reducing the video bit rate. Note that this may decrease image quality and increase processing time on YouTube.

How long are your videos, how large our your videos files and what codec do you export them in?

How long are your videos, how large our your videos files and what codec do you export them in?

between 2-8 min. Im not sure what codec it is. Im not very good with that techie stuff. Wouldn't know where to find that. But would love to know.

How fast is your internet? 4 days is an excruciatingly long time for an upload.
