Uploading clips of a full length video, then posting the whole vid?

Great afternoon YouTubers!

Does anyone here ever shoot a video. Finish editing the whole video. Post clips from that video in segments then upload the full length video later?

For example: If you make a video where you interview 5 people about a certain topic. Edit the whole video together, does anyone upload like this?

Monday- Post interview with first person
Tuesday- Post interview with 2nd person
Wednesday- Post interview with 3rd person
Thursday- Post interview with 4th person
Friday- Post interview with 5th person
Saturday- Post the whole video

Does this make sense? This way you have the whole video and short clips (ie: if someone is watching at work and only has a few seconds opposed to 2-3 minutes). Curious if anyone has done anything similar? My concern would be content getting redundant for subscribers
 
For me personaly I would rather have clips without the "whole" video on Saturday. It seems to me to be pointless. I see your point of people at work, but for me it wouldn't work
 
Makes perfect sense. Nothing wrong with stretching your content. It also allows people to pick and choose what they watch. I'd suggest putting links in the video to the full size, or separate parts. You can certainly try it and see how it works. If it doesn't, don't do it again. Always the possibility that you can better use SEO for the individual videos that will drive people to watch the full length too, or just choose ala carte. Good luck.
 
I'd go for the split approach - shorter video, people can pick and choose. I wouldn't do both though, I don't think your viewers would appreciate that as much as you'd be uploading the same content twice.
 
You know what's interesting? I've seen people do the opposite (i.e Gary Vaynerchuk). He will post a FULL length video on 1 day, and then post small snippets throughout throughout the following weeks.

I think both your way and the opposite way (i.e. as Gary has done) are both good, IMO.
