Uploading a video immediately vs scheduling it to go public?

Hey.
So I know that the time of day that you upload your video is important, and that the video will get most of its views in the first 24 hours.

How does scheduling a video to go public effect it? Does the initial 24 hour countdown only start once it's gone public? Or does it start as soon as it's uploaded?

Should I just wait till tomorrow to upload my video, or upload it now and schedule it to go live tomorrow?
 
From what I've researched, the timer starts at the time of publication. So scheduling the video doesn't have any effect until the video goes live.
 
Common practice is to just upload videos and when you have enough data to look back at audience retention time, that'd be the sweet spot. You can also see where at in the world people are mostly viewing your videos from, and allocate the time difference if they are in a different timezone than you.
 
There is no significant difference between a video that is scheduled to go live at 12:00 and a video that is uploaded at 12:00. Until it goes live, it doesn't exist in any meaningful way. 100% of my videos are scheduled in batches. I have no time to sit there and upload a video and let it process at a certain time every day.
 
I usually schedule well in advance. It appears to make no difference to immediate publishing after uploading.
 
I'm not completely sure if this is still an issue or not since I've been off my YouTube grind for awhile, but awhile back people just waited to actually upload because scheduled videos, when released, would not show up in some people's feed.
 
I was also curious about this! Good to know it seems to be the same either way. Kinda wanted to try to start having an “upload time”

It really helps for keeping with an upload schedule. Also if you game (which I see you do), you'd just take four or five hours to pump out as many videos as you can, and then upload them, schedule throughout the week, and boom you have a weeks worth of content already sittin' nice n' pretty.
 
Usually just upload them the moment the video is done, unless I have some made up goal like 'it must be out this weekend' to which if I finish the video early, I schedule it for the weekend.
