Unlisted videos public again?

Kaleido

I Love YTtalk
I unlisted a few videos on my channel that were way off-topic for what it's become. Today I was messing around with the new layout, and I went to "View as new visitor" and all those videos show up now! It was working fine before the new layout...

Anyone else having this problem?

I just checked my channel and the same thing occurred, I even tried putting them on private but no change.

I really wish Youtube would stop breaking stuff like that... It's like they don't even test their stuff.

What if someone had a private, sensitive video they unlisted just to link to one person? That's just public now. Terrible. Luckily that didn't happen to me...

So I just went to check this and I can view my unlisted videos when I "View as new visitor" etc. BUT when I opened up an Incognito window on chrome and looked again I couldn't see those unlisted ones, so I think this is just a bug when you're actually still signed in as you - those videos are still unlisted to everyone else :)

I just tested the same thing (I just logged into a diff account tho lol). Seems you're right, they're not listed, the UI is just broken... There used to be just a little lock icon next to the videos other ppl can't see, that seems to be gone too...

So, not as bad as I thought. Still annoying, though!

I have a question regarding unlisted videos.. Say I upload a video, make it public for a while then I unlist it, if I relisted it a few days later would it show as my most recently uploaded video?

No, it keeps it's upload date and the slot it's in forever...

Oh right! I was just wondering cos you know the way some people upload 30 second video on YouTube announcing that they are live streaming on Twitch and then take it down once they're done streaming? I was going to start doing that and though it would be easier that way rather than having to upload it everytime :)
