You can have video's up to 15 minutes.

To track stats you have analytics. But also a website called socialblade

Change skenkee to your youtube name. It will track the last 30 day's.

Try to keep the videos to around 5 minutes. People get bored with 15 minute videos. If the YT analytics system spots that viewers are leaving your videos half way through or even long before that, then your video might not appear in search results. The longer you have peoples views the better it is for that video and your other videos. So for that reason I will sometimes upload a 1 minute video, it gets watched 100% by most people and the YT analytics loves this. Its a Win.
