How important is Twitter at the start of a channel, currently we have only uploaded 1 vid but somehow managed to get a nice amount of views, engagement with viewers is pretty low because I personally find it a bit annoying if its full on however I am wondering how useful it would be to get a twitter for the channel.

All content on the channel will probably be collabs with my flat mates so obviously we all have our own, should making one be the way to go?
 
Twitter is a very good idea for the channel, since I started posting my videos onto my twitter, I've had a huge amount of people subscribing and viewing my YouTube and I've grown so much! So i say go for it :D It's also a good way for your subscribers to follow you and for you to tell them what kind of things you are going to be doing

Twitter is a great platform to advertise your videos. However, getting followers on Twitter can also be discouraging and a bit tedious.
Be sure to use hashtags on your posts so your posts get recognized and put up there in the Twitter community. People laugh at hashtags, but they're quite important when it comes to getting your stuff out there on IG and Twitter. :)
And since you're a new channel, it would be great to start a twitter to grow with your channel.

Hello again :) Thanks for the advice, I started a twitter yesterday and managed to pick up 16 followers I assume through youtube, or from when I followed other youtubers, but its a good start :D
 
Twitter is very important for any (small)Youtuber and the only way to get noticed and getting lots of videos views and subscribers.

I was using Twitter just posting(and other stuff) about my Youtube channel and to check out my new video on the Twitter feed 1/2 times per week for a while and i did not get any videos views or subscribers and i was following alot of people and getting lots of followers nearly everyday and i hope they would go on my Twitter and check out my Youtube channel/new video but unfortunately it was not the case, they did not go on my Twitter and check out my channel/new video.

Untill it all changed when i found a a very good(best) way(on Twitter) to get a lots of video views and subscribers over a month and a bt ago. :D :D


I have found DM people on Twitter telling them to check out your Youtube or new video it is the BEST WAY to get views/subscribers especailly when you are small Youtuber or just starting out on Youtube, it is working out very good for me so far, now i am getting a lot more videos views and subscribers than ever before. :)

1st you have to set up a Auto DM(or multiple DM's) on a site like Justunfollow.com each time you get a new follower on Twitter they will get your auto DM saying thanks for following and telling them to check out your Youtube channel or video.

But you have to follow(a least +200/800 people at a time) lots of people(followers of Small/Big Youtubers and people who likes Youtube) to get lots of followers after you set up a auto DM on Justunfollow.com in order for it work and to get lots more video views and subscribers to your Youtube channel!

After over a month since i started doing DM people telling them to check out my Youtube(or video in another DM) on Twitter I have a lot more video views now than over a month and a bit ago and i was getting 1/2 MAX subs per month and was not getting any video views for a very long time, i use to have only about 26/28 subscribers over a month and a bit ago and now i have 98(only 2 till i get to 100 :D) subscribers on Youtube and most of them are active subs and i checked on Youtube analytics in the last month i have gained over 70/75 subscribers. :D :D

My Youtube channel is growing a lot more now than over a month and a bit ago i am getting credit for my videos now which it is great! :) :) :D :D

And it is NOTHING like Sub4sub because if you do Sub4sub all you get is dead Subscribers and is complete garbage.


And make sure you post other stuff on Twitter, don't use your Twitter just to promote your Youtube channel/new video.
 
Thanks Billy, I'm not too sure if I want to be too aggressive in gaining subs at the end of the day its just for a laugh. Appreciate the advice man, helpful stuff :)
