Twitter-like feature on YouTube?

I think it would be really cool if YouTube added a feature that was similar to twitter, except, you know, it's in YouTube. I know there's already something kind of like this where people comment on your channel page but no one looks at that.
Not everyone who is subscribed to you on YouTube is going to follow you on Twitter or Instagram so if you post updates, they're not going to see it. So instead of them having to follow you on other social media, YouTube should install a feed where they can see updates on videos or events. What do you guys think?

This sounds like an awesome idea, maybe they could implement a notifcation system to let you know when your favourite youtuber has uploaded

I believe that you can post a comment in your YouTube discussion section
https://www.youtube.com/user/YOURchannel/discussion

When your subcribers visit their Subscription feed, then click on All Activity, your post should appear

Ohh I see what you mean, and that would be great. Maybe a kind of little wall on which you can post updates? It would keep us from having to hop around too much on Social Media.
