Turning off overlay ADs increase the chance of getting pre-roll ads?

I'm wondering about this as my overlay ADs earning are abysmal compared to the pre-roll ones. The difference is so huge that even if just the 15% of overlay ADs became pre-roll ADs I would still make more money.

Anyone experimented around this?

I guess u r right, most of the people including me don't like overlay ads, skip-able ads are pretty fine :D

Nope, you're just lose the 15% overlay revenue. Video views can display multiple ad formats on the same view. You can have a trueview and an overlay ad.

Sounds right.
I was considering disabling them myself. But if what you say is true, you may as well leave them. When someone does click on them they pay top dollar usually.

Google determines if they have a pre-roll ad ready to be presented for your viewer. Whether you allow or disallow the other ad formats has no bearing on whether a pre-roll is shown.
