Trouble with profile pictures

(I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't really sure where to put this.)
So last night I went to change my profile picture on YouTube because my old one wasn't 250x250. I changed it on Google+, but I didn't like how it turned out, so I went to change it again. It changed on Google+, but it still has the profile picture I don't want on my channel, and when I comment, there isn't a profile picture at all.
Is anybody else having this problem?

It can take a day or so for everything to sync up on YouTube so give it a little bit of time :) it can take up to 36 hours I believe.

Really, that long?! On YouTube it said that it might take "a few minutes." Now that's an understatement.

Oh! I know the thumbnails, when changed, can take that long. I asssumed it translated over.

Well try giving it some time (you know how YT can be lol) and if by tomorrow it still hasn't fixed it come back and we'll try and figure something else out!

I use the Official YouTube Channel One Layout Template, and it always either re-sizes, or some annoying thing. Sometimes it even says "invalid file".
